yeah, i know how ya feel reelpoor, I have been skiing 43 years this year but i have never skied at competition level although I have run the course a few times and I ski on a Connelly F1 so I know what the speed drug is like :) but these days its a quick blast and its all over. Not a big one for just hanging on behind the boat. If the conditions are right than I'll be out there 4 or 5 times through the day carving up the river. I still barefoot at least once a season and last year managed 4 runs. I want to still be having a regular barefoot run when I’m well into my 50's. kind of my way of staying young at heart. I still train 6 days a week and keep pretty fit but I can't even begin to keep up with the boys though, they just go all day!

Old is a state of mind until the body quits on ya. With the exception of 2 f*&^ed shoulders so far I'm doin ok.

reelpoor, this is one of 2 boats that I own, I use the 'ski' pole at the rear, leave the high pole to the youngsters!

Nice outfit paulie, but where are the shielas?8) As to skiing into your 50's, keep the faith, you can do it. My pic above is at almost 60 and I hope to keep after it for another 10. Doubt that would include barefoot though.:%

Don't ever stop!!! My dad's 84 and skiied last summer just before getting a pacemaker... Wanted to do it one last time - thought the pacemaker might change his lifestyle. Now he can't wait until I get back down there and go again. That attitude is why he's 84 and still running strong.
