Ok it actually floats...

Well I have been working on this project for a little over a year.... she still has a way to go (needs to be painted pretty bad)

It was a $500 craigslist boat... I rebuilt the drive fixed the electrical. Put in a new (slightly used) motor. re-did most of the interior (although I still have a ways to go) Fixed a small hole in the Hull. repaired a couple weak spots in the floor, put new side windows in and a few other things..

it is a 73 Arrowglass Viper 165hp OMC with a electric shift I/O

I have learned a TON on this project. and have way more to go.. but hey.... it;s been a lot of fun, and more to come.

I just had to post a couple pics just to show that she is actually water worthy... Can't wait to get her 100%..

How much do you have invested in it, so far? Aside from the initial $500, I mean. Just curious as I am about to start my own project soon and would just like to see what kinda numbers I may have to anticipate

Well remember I am the one that screwed up and Froze the motor this winter or I would NOT have had to put a motor in it. Including rebuilding the drive. a used motor. trim motor (ouch that one hurt) interior work and the likes I have about $2300 into it.. a bit more than I hoped for but I spread it out over a year so not to bad.

the stringers were a little rotten but only where the bolts go trough them. I drilled them out to 1.5" diam holes then made some pugs out of hardwood dowels used some liquid nails and drove the dowels into the drilled holes.. they seem to be ROCK solid now. This repair will last several years. by then I hope to buy something a little bigger newer and faster LOL (yeah I got 2 footitus already)

the transom is perfect. and as for foam. I did not open the floor all the way up, only where it was rotten. I patched the holes in the floor and I did fill a few spots of foam.. It's not perfect. but it floats, it runs and I am LOVING it for a First boat... If It had that many major problems I would have spent the money on something newer and nicer... this one will last me Lots of years the way it is...

Thanks Guys it does feel great to actually have it in the water.. and Yeah I was nervous as Hell when I first put it back in the water... did I forget something did I miss something... but all the hard work was worth it.

Can't wait for the season to be over so I can start making her pretty too. LOL

Love the colors for her too.. the blue and white looks really sharp. I'm leaning towards that for my interior

Thanks. I talked to one of the hardcore Arrowglass guys, he said it was a factory color. but they did very few two tone versions... I guess she is one of few.
