Re: ok, to quit smoking,so whats the skinny on wellbutrin?
Welbutrin suppresses the urge to kill after you have quit smoking. I quit several times before I really had the desire to quit, it is not easy but you can do it, I know because I did. I did do it with the patches and a lot of will power. You will find the nerves may be on edge when you quit and start having nicotine fits, want of a cigarette, the welbutrin helps to ease that problem, thus suppresses the urge to kill, cause the first person that gets in your face you feel like hurting them. I quit in 2002 at the spring race in Bristol Tenn, went with cigs and patches, ran out of cigs, put on patch and went from there and happy to say I made it. Very possible that about 90 days after you quit the urge for a smoke will jump on you like gangbusters, fight it and move on, then about 6 months it will get you again, fight it and move on. I can tell you that you will probably have urges, as you move on they will be less frequent, I still have an occasional urge, very rare and not near as strong.
