Started out with a mess of snow and wind..... Now it's turned to sleet. Hopefully the sleet, better yet ran, sticks around all nite if something has to drop out of the sky. I'm really, really tired of all this...........

We got the 60s coming back next weekend after the front passes by. Just unreal for this late in April. I know it is not as bad as many of you have it, but still stinks. I hope the forecast is wrong.

A bunch of schools closed around here. Especially around Duluth/Superior(head of Lake Superior). One guy made a "snow quote" in his front yard that said, "Really?". It was pretty big. Funny stuff and very sad at the same time........ It's very difficult to look outside w/o shaking your head in disgust......... They're talking another round Wed/Thu.:facepalm:

3 different local forecasts from 3 different tv stations for this Wed/Thu.
1. 3 - 6"
2. 5 - 8"
3. 6 - 9"+

Personally, I don't like any of them.........

There is hope, a few lakes in southern MN are now on the official MN DNR ice out map:

For a while I thought earth's orbit had shifted and we'd be stuck with winter forever.

But weather.com keeps extending the 30-40 degree weather. Now the forecast says it won't exceed 50 degrees until the 24th.

Dunno, still calling for snow here the next couple days. The birds are pretty confused - my wife felt sorry for all the little ones trying to find food (they look pretty well fed to me).

Here in Kansas its constantly up down up down. Usually by the 2nd week of April spring has settled in for good. I got a sunburn in 75? sun this weekend, today is blustery low 40s, with rain and chance for freezing rain the next two days. Mother nature is a bipolar son of a beech!

My forecast looks like WIMUSKY's does, starting to really irritate me especially when my son keeps calling if I got the boat out yet while he is sitting on his porch in Phoenix....

Yeah, thanks...... They're upping the totals a little. Now maybe 10+. Starts tomorrow. Spring can't get here fast enough. She'll be here when she's ready....... At least the sun finally came out today...

again, looks to be a localized storm.
8-10 where you are, 50 miles down the road- rain, 50 miles the other way- nothing. weird.

I have 2 different forecasts here, 1 says all rain. The other says 6" of white.

We've already broke the record for Feb/March/April snowfall total. Probably be plowing Friday. I wish it would rain............

Wimusky, I sure hope when you signed people up for the "full" winter plow season you gave a start and stop date.
Pretty hard to budget in an extra month or two of plowing.


Two piles of snow left in the yard, each the size of a tire, so long as we do not get another spring snow storm we are good to go on the lawn cutting in a week or two!

Wimusky, I sure hope when you signed people up for the "full" winter plow season you gave a start and stop date.
Pretty hard to budget in an extra month or two of plowing.

Funny you you brought that up. I was just talking to another plow guy the other day and he asked me the same question. Sadly the answer is NO! So I'm getting pretty much screwed right now with the the people that are under a seasonal contract. I need to be like the LP guys and have an end date. Anything after that charge so much per time. Or, raise my rates. That always goes over big..... lol

At least the begining of the year you got off reasonably light, so you will probably balance out when the snow finaly stops.
Do you track total plowed driveways, hours, fuel per year? run them on excel spread sheat and compare to last year.

I'm glad I'm on the rain side of the storm but, I think we've had enough of that too. The Wolf River is under a slow no wake flood emergency from New London down stream to Fremont. Which probably means the Fox River in Oshkosh will be that way in a week or two. Just in time for me to put my boat in the water for the season.:facepalm:

Interesting. Around here everybody I know of charges by the trip.
