I just purchased a 1967 sears runabout boat and I know nothing about it
the inside is gutted out just a stearing wheel and front light which is red and green
other than that there is nothing in or on it
I was told that it was a 1967 and that's what I have it registered through the state as
but I want to start restoring it but I know nothing and cant find anything about these old sears boats
its fiberglass and red and white paint
any pictures or information would help
it is rated for a 45 hp motor and up to 4 people some of the pictures are of the boat floor repair i did with new fiberglass
thanks crboat 004.jpgboat 005.jpgboat 006.jpgboat 007.jpgboat 008.jpg

Didn't I post some info in your other thread about this boat:
old sears 14 runabout boat

Not much info available, probably few have ever heard of it, let alone seen 1, and even fewer that have pix.

What do you want to do? Get it redone so you can USE it? Fishing/skiing/cruising?

A factory original resto won't really do much to improve the value of it once it's redone.

Re: old 1967 sears runabout boat 14'????

I owned one many years ago as my first boat ever. Same color same everything, I think ours had a 60 Johnyrude on her that ran very nice. Being young and stupid, we swapped that outboard out for a tower of power Merc 100 hp and just about sunk the boat on the maiden voyage. The boat is extremely light, with little interior structure. I'm thinking it had pulley type steering on it which we had backwards on our first lake run, memories!!

We ended up switching back to the original outboard and it ran well for us until we sold it. It's not a collectible kind of boat, but it will get you on the water,. Any power plant decisions yet?

I wouldn't worry about restoring it, but make it safe and useful again. Clean it up, repaint it and add what you want. You could find some 'era photos and make reproduction seating that looks correct, but like my '60's MFG boat it's not any more fixed up period correct.
