old boat new to me 79 ebko 228 305 couple wires need location

Turns over no spark and fuel ....not understanding why my my coil negative has power coming out of it with only a positive wire on +side ? Im looking for a good manual wire diagram tried to download free pdfs ya viruses all of a sudden seen porn and flashing 7 virus warning lol thx for help serial number 5438279 and 5431796

You will see 12V on the negative side of the coil when the points are open. When points close the 12V goes to 0. The link below is a pdf file and while it doesn't have your motor in it, use the 3.0 with points (page 4) and the helm wiring on page 7
