I was at a boat lot and saw a old probably 13 ft whaler laying in the back. It needs work but i was going to ask how much they would charge for just the boat. i dont know a year but i would say at least 10 years or more. its has no bench seats just the floor. very simple boat. I just want to sand the bottum repaint it. What do u think is a reasonable price for the boat.

Re: Old Boston Whaler

Whalers don't get "old", Will. They may get neglected or abused, but never old. A 1964 Whaler 13 is a classic, but not "old". It was a great boat and one of the best 13s ever.

If it has the blue interior it is pre-1973, the off white (called desert tan) interiors started then, along with the "smirked" bow and 20" transom.

A bare hull, post '73 13' is worth a few hundred bux if sound.

You can get more info than you can digest in a day, plus many enthusiastic advisors on the Classic Whaler forum, continuouswave.com.

If that boat is in driving range of northwest Texas and you decide to pass I would appreciate a contact with the boat lot.

Good luck. :)
