Re: old champian

The Tillotson ME2A was used on the Champion model 4K Deluxe Lite Twin 7.9hp, 1948-50

It was also used on the model 4KS Hot Rod. You wouldn't be so lucky as to have found one of those for 5 bucks, would you?

You didn't hear me snicker when you said "carb kit" did you? Seriously, for what it is worth, the carb kit is part number 08417 and the carb gasket kit is #08415. The float valve is 08018. Tillotson numbers. Good luck.

You might want to check in over at the Antique Outboard Club, www.aomci.org

Re: old champian

Need a model number something like 4K 4L etc.
57/58 was last Champions years of production.
Try the antique outboard motor club @ www.aomci.org
Point setting generally .018.Most models use 1/2 pt per gallon. TCW3 rated oil.

"nothing on those point numbers?"What do you mean? I would check at the antique outboard mptor club on the capacitor. While a cap relacement is easy and inexpensive it is my experience they seldom fail.
