Okay, with the help of some of you here and a few friends near home I was able to start my 1967 Chrysler 45 outboard (4571) last night. An adjustment to the starter and a new plug wire was all it needed. While I haven't had it in the water yet, it idles and throttles up really smooth - quiet too! Thanks for your help!

Another question, this time about my throttle lever box. It has the standard silver knob, single lever, and push in key choke that most of these do. But, it also has this straight chrome lever (3 position) that comes out from beneath the box and toward the rear. I think that it has some wiring that goes toward some AC receptacles (the motor has an alternator). Does anyone know what this is for? I have a separate toggle for the lights on the boat, but I'm not sure what this one is for. I imagine it may be something to do with the receptacles, but I'm not sure.
