My dad just got a 14ft flat bootom w/ an old Eska 7.5 motor on it. We don't even know if it will start ,but I noticed the motor is locked in drive and can't get it to go to the nuetral position. I was told that alot of people that had these little motors would set them up for direct drive by doing something to the clutch ass. and that it would cost more than the motor is worth to fix it. Is that true? Or am I better off taking the advise of a freind and just give a buerial at sea?? <br />Thanks

Re: Old Eska ??

I had a old eska and if you look where the shift lever goes theres a rod with piece that slides back and forth that puts it in gear that piece may be broken
