Looks like we have two separate, unrelated questions in one posting.

I would guess your Sportwin to be a 10 hp engine from the late '50's. But, compare the model number against the above website to be certain.

A maroon Johnson 35 hp would be 1957 or 58. Does the fuel connector have three prongs in a triangle shape (pressure) or two prongs (fuel pump)?

It is powered (electrically) by a magneto, just like a basic lawnmower, and doesn't need a battery or electric starter. Just pull the rope.

Thanks lark49, Ya I can't the right buttom to erase that last note. On the fuel connector, There is three pins, Two are what two that look like fuel lines, And one that is a guide pin. And on the evenrude, Looked all over on the motor for a number but no luck, Lots of part numbers. Have any idea where i might look? It's a twin cyd, And the word sportwin are the only thing I came up with. O, I know how the darn thing produces spark and everything on the johnson, Been bit a few time over the years, and I do alot of repair work on all kinds of things. But getting started again on boat motors is going to be fun, or I think it is. Thanks for your info again..Aldon
