Howdy Dazza.

Welcome to iboats. :)

I don't find a model 5224 in my reference. The model number should precede the serial number. It is the model number that we need.

Welcome Dazza!
I can't seem to find that model/serial number. Would you mind double-checking it?
4224 would be a '37 4.7hp, but I don't think that's it. :)
EDIT: Pardon, JB :)

Ah, that's a 1962 5.5hp.
Here's some info:
HP: 5.5
WOT RPMS: 4000
Displacement: 8.84 cu.in. = 144.8 ccm
Cylinders: 2
Weight: 55.5 lbs. = 25.2 Kg
Gear ratio: 15:26
Spark plugs: Champion J6C gapped at .030" (J6J is NLA)
Lower unit oil: OMC/BRP 'HiVis' or equivalent 90 weight outboard gearcase lube.
Fuel/Oil mixture: 24:1 87 octane gas to TC-W3 rated outboard oil. (1 pint per 3 gallons or 40ml per litre)
'62 Catalog
From the Old OMC Site.

Tom Travis' 5.5hp site.

Hope that helps!
