I've recently purchased an old Evinrude (model # 3038, serial # B4078). It's got a blue-grey body with off-white panels on the cover. I was wondering - What year model is it? What hp is it? How much is it worth? What should the fuel:eek:il ratio be? What spark plugs should I use? And what should the gap be on the points and plug? Thanks for your help!

3038=1961.
3 HP.
32:1.
If running well, in the ballpark of $150-$300.
Don't know the specs.

Re: old evinrude

Thanks for the great information! The pix were great. One question, MG suggested 32:1 fuel:eek:il ratio; however, there is writing on the cover which suggests 24:1? Should I go with MG or the cover? Thanks for your help!
