Old four horse Evinrude.

What is the oil/gas mixture for an old 3.9/4 horse Evinrude. Several years ago I was running it in a plastic barrel that I cut the top off with a chain saw and didn't clean it out before I ran the motor in it and stopped up the water circulation system. Now that I have more time I would like to clean it out and start using it again.

I found this model# E5RCSS on a plate. The cover is white, small red and blue areas on the white and 4.5 in the red.<br /><br /> It has 4.5 horsepower @5000 RPM on the plate with the model number.<br /><br /> I know very little about boats and motors, thank for any help you can give me.

Hi,<br />It is a 1980 so the oil mix is 50-1<br />...have fun...corm
