Old gas in 2024

I would really like to dump the 50 to 60 gallons of stabilized but old (a year or two) gas that is presently in my boat. Don't see it being used up this fall. But I see no easy way. I don't have an electric fuel pump nor 10 or 12 five gallon red gas containers.

My pickup is diesel and my wife's Crosstrek does not go through very much gas.

Maybe just dump in more stabilizer and use it up in the spring.

I pumped 46 gallons out of my boat a couple of weeks ago . . .

20 gallons went in the vehicles and I have 25 gallons in reserve to add as needed.

With a manual pump, I can pump about 30 gallons in an hour.

I still have no tanks or 5 gal containers or 55 gal drums.

I am hesitant to put old gas in wife's 2021 Crosstrek.

If your hesitant to burn it in a car, do not attempt to keep it in the boat.

Since your gasoline is already 'a year or two' old, I'd find a way to get it out of the boat. The 5 gallon jugs can be a bit pricey (about $20 each), but it may avoid some fuel issues next year.

I have 6 jugs, so in order to get the 40+ gallons out of my boat, I have to put some in the vehicles before finishing the pumping from the boat. You could probably empty your boat's fuel tank with 4 jugs and a few iterations of fueling the vehicle.

When my boat was out of the water for a year and a half for various repairs (engine, carb, fiberglass) I wound up burning off 2.5 year old gas that was stabilized & fresh fuel added. My old carbed engine just burned it up! Checked for water in the fuel & it was fine. Not saying this is ideal for EFI engines though…..just be careful pumping out that amount of fuel!

I would think with gas prices as they are that someone you know would gladly take it off your hands and maybe even supply the containers to offload it into.
