I have a 1974 115hp Johnson, had it out for the first time this year, had a hi speed miss, the gas is 2 years old, I always use gas Stabilizer, the motor started up fine and idled fine. It was a erratic miss.

Well it would be the first thing I would eliminate if I were trouble shooting. I try to never have more than what I'm using in the next month or so. Never use it if more than 6 mnths and I always use stabilizer too. You can use it (your old gas) in your car a little at a time.
