How much it's worth...tough question. It all depends on finding a willing buyer who wants that outboard for his/her collection.<br /><br />Condition is everything on those old collectible outboards. Absolutely everything. Running condition is good, but it's less important, really, than cosmetic condition.<br /><br />Tank dents, corrosion, missing graphics...all detract from the value.<br /><br />One place to check is on eBay, searching in completed auctions. The problem is that there are so many "antique" Johnsons that it can be hard to find an equivalent to yours that has been sold.<br /><br />I'm seeing 30's Johnson outboards on eBay going from anywhere from $100 to about $400. Some of the really rare models bring more than that, but it's unusual.<br /><br />So, you won't get rich on your motor, I'm afraid. But...getting it restored is a fun project, for sure.
