I have an old Johnson Sea Horse

Model 6R-74C
SERIAL J3935861

It starts, I want to tune up and put new impeller, can someone tell me the year model and where to get parts. Thanks.

Hi Redlake,

That's a 1974 6HP Johnson model #. Just about everything is still available from your local dealer.

in the engine faq section read 'awakening a sleeping outboard.' you are already on the right track. also do a carb soak and rebuild

We don't call em' old unless they're from the 50s at least. '74 is newer than any of my Seahorses!
