Just started to tear this engine down and it is good shape. However, I'm looking for a one stop location for gaskets, paint and decals. Also a carb kit would be in order as well. Does anyone target this engine specifically? Thank you.
Hi, thats a pretty old motor. '46-'49 5hp, you might check this web site if he doesn't have it listed contact him and he may be able to locate those parts.

http://www.maxrules.com/fixomcelectricindex.html

Mike,
Hi hoho1240, I did a google search and came up with this web site, its loaded with inks, maybe you'll find what you need there.

http://www.vintageoutboard.com/OtherLinks/Links.html

GOOD LUCK,
Mike
The S/N says it was made in 1948. No differences between '46 and '49 as MCM pointed out, just thought you might like to know.
Decals & paint:
www.nymarine.ca
Decals:
http://www.americanoutboard.com/

Carb kit isn't available, but if you're float is falling apart, there's a merc float that can be made to work.
Thanks fellas.

I going to pull the head today to see if the coil and points are in decent shape. Any tricks to this? Like how do I keep the prop from turning when loosing the bolt on the head? Jam it? Clock wise or counter clokwise? Wish me luck.
