Old Johnson wiring

I hope somebody can help with my problem;I bought a 1958 16' aluminum Richline boat with a 1954 Johnson 25hp electric start motor,and I know it is a 6v system. <br />I bought it for $100(boat,motor&trailer),can anyone tell me how to wire the motor to the ignition box and the ignition box to the switch. when I bought it it was all tore apart. I have a small diagram drawn out but i need to know where all the wires go. I've looked for books but they seem to only go back to 1956.If anyone can help it will greatly appricated.feel free to e-mail me @ marchan@udata.com

I dont want tosound like a cheap skate but iI only give $100 for the boat know of any thing cheaper my wife would shoot me if I spent $35 for a book.Thanks for the site though i may end up buying it anyway.
