My 7.5hp 1956 Johnson will not even try to start. Spark is strong.
Plenty of gas. Carb is clean. Still it will not fire. What could be wrong?
How do I know for sure the spark plug wires go to the correct cylinder ?
I've tried both ways but still nothing. Does it have a kill switch somewhere?

Is if flooding? If not, spritz/spray some gas in the carb throat and see if it fires. Is the carb ajusted correctly...check the top secret file at the top of the J/E forum...adjusting carbs.
