Re: old jonson

Its most likely not a 300 hp V8.

Any other clues? We need a little more to go on. Whats the prize for the first right guess?

Roy Williams is digging up some old posts everywhere :(

Edit:
This one was posted May 15, 2001 - 18 months ago!
I guess it was about this one: Double post , a 1940.

Re: old jonson

Rick - lets tag team him on this one and split the prize.

So far we know its not a 1940 300 hp V8. If we narrow each guess by 1/2 that would be a 1971 150 in-line 4.

Close?

Yeah..he may HAVE been serious.....but his original post was so long ago he is probably dead by now!!!! :D :D :D (check the date)

I doubt he is still checking the forum to get his answer. If he is......... He takes that new posters posting to a WHOLE new level concerning patience! :p the answer is...... actually a ted williams 7.5 air cooled with a supercharger ..just a guess :)

Re: old jonson

Well I for one am glad Roy brought this up again. Looking at the post it was titled an "Old Johnson" then in the body he said a "Small Johnson". At age 45 that has me concerned. Does your Johnson shrink with age? ;)

Re: old jonson

this just in...based on the detailed info we have from the post-

he does have a "small johnson" and he needs help finding it, something about what year he last saw it???? ;) Jolly has a good point, if it shrinks with age, it may be to late!!LOL :D I think preventive maintenance requires constant lube and linkage manipulation to prevent this very common horsepower problem... dhadley- I must have gotten confused with the specifics, The whole shrinkage when old/cold/frozen thing with Ted williams I guess!! :p
