I have been on the search for a complete wiring diagram for my Merc. It is a 1964 4cyl 110Hp Mercruiser, I am going to rewire the engine and I need a diagram to work off of, whoever was in there last was a hack.

I've tried searching all over this site and the net but can't seem to find anything relating to the 110Hp model. If anyone could point me to an online drawing or possibly has one they could send my way I would be very appreciative!

Cheers

Re: Old Mercruiser Wiring Diagram

Hi Everyone,

Can't figure out how to post a new thread so I'm just going to ask a question here. I just bought my first boat and had it running in the driveway. When I went out to start the boat it wouldn't turn over. It seemed to be cranking very slowly. So I replace the starter solenoid yesterday and now all I hear is a click. I also realized that I have what looks like an inline fuse running from under the engine from what looks like a pedal. I was wondering where this wire gets hooked up to? As for testing the starter i've already read the posts on doing that so hopefully after hooking up that wire correctly and running the electical tests i can pinpoint the problem.

My boat is an 89 maxum, 3.0 mercruise inboard/outboard.

Thanks! I don't want to throw any parts into it until the problem has been located and I have no idea what that wire is coming off of and where it should be connected

That right there sounds like a dead battery, though I am unsure of the other stuff.

From the main page of this forum, at the upper left and lower left of the list of threads is a button that looks like this.

Any guesses what it does? ;)
