boat coming out of storage soon, last trip out I noticed some exhaust from the gimble area.
I know I’m looking like an exhaust bellows. Should I be planning on tackling the gimble bearing as well?
im installing a new lift pump as well as the old one won’t lift all the time and the revers lock is not working.

Any step by by step guides? Lol. Sooner it’s done the soner
I’m boating

And which old 120 are you working on? All 120's are old now.

Anyway - Add drive shaft bellows to the list. It will probably tear during the removal. Most likely a few more things to add like an alignment tool.

Don’t know the exact year but it matches the 1967-1969 parts list.

There are newer clamps lamps on the bellows so had hoped they wouldn’t be much issue but the boat has sat for a bit.

Few runs out last last summer and first the internal exhaust one sprung a leak. That wasn’t an easy one to fix the. Noticed the exhaust leak. Good news is no funny noises but I’m thinking. While I’m in there...

Once you pull the drive you can feel the gimbal bearing for smoothness. I would do at least all bellows.

It might be worthwhile to get a transom seal kit which includes a gimbal bearing along with all bellows/clamps/seals/hoses.

Checked the impeller last year and it was fairly new.

The previous owner did some stuff but keps having having issues with it stalling in reverse, he had the shim pack on the wrong side of the drive shaft housing, so it wouldn’t engage and would stall on the reverse cut off)
I had the bottom end apart fixing his stuff so checked the impeller and lower bearings while I was in there.
