I have a 55 fleetwin 7.5 that uses 2 hose tank.
Tanks are hard to find and expensive. Has any found a good way to install a fuel pump to use a
newer tank ? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Extech
You can obtain all the parts nessasary to convert your presure system to a pump through your local dealer. The trouble is, cost is about parr with a rebuilt tank, maybe more. I like to think of those tanks as a credit card to cheep motors. If you have a good tank, You can get all the motors you want. Snoop around a little and you will find a nice tank at a yard sale, full of the nastiest smellinest goo you can imagine. A little elbow greese and it will be fine.

Hi ExTech,
Alcan's right. Those tanks are all over the place - they just seem to end up in different places than the motors. They turn up on eBay all the time in the $40-$60 range, and can be had for less at AOMCI (www.aomci.org) swap meets and the odd garage sale in waterfront communities.
Check out my own '55 Fleetwin at my website! They're a great running little motor...
- Scott
Chinewalker's Place
