its not the right forum.. but i couldnt find any thing else, so folks, <br />how much will an extremly old (id say 1930-1940's) johnson seahorse , around 10 hp and 2 cylinders, also 2 blade prepeller will worth today in $?<br /><br />working too... its not for sale i just wanna know pricing

i picked up a 53 evinrude 15 horse for 250.00 canadian in good running condition.

Almost impossible to say without knowing the model and condition. At the end of the day these things are worth what someone is prepared to pay.<br />If no-one's interested it's worth nothing, if two guys with deep pockets really want it it could be worth a small fortune!

Antiques in typical damaged condition and not running fetch $25 to $35. Similat classics go for a bit more. Unique or clean motors get even more, completely dependant on what someone's willing to pay. I saw a nice collection of restored antiques of various makes and sizes(about 9) on ebay a few months ago that got thousands...and not one of them was in running condition. The owner paid big bucks to have them cosmetically restored, but made no attempt to get them in running condition. It all depends on who wants it, how bad, and how much he's willing to pay.

According to The Old Outboard Book price guide it's worth $55-95, assuming it's all complete (no missing parts) and has no incorrect replacement parts. Incorrect replacements or missing parts could devalue it to $35. Top price would be for a very tidy all original example that runs well.<br />This is just a guide though, based on rarity and desirability to collectors, if it was the exact motor I needed to complete my latest boat restoration project then those values would go out of the window. I might pay well over the odds to get one if the alternative was waiting years for another, or using a less suitable motor.
