old outboard conversion

hi gang,
I have an old suzuki ob that I'm converting, and I'm almost done.
The throttle cable connection is giving me an issue though. Where the cable from the carb connects to the
teleflex cable it isnt pulling the cable? but rather the whole thing is moving with the motion of the remote. hopefully this makes sense.
any ideas or suggestions?
