I have a MontgomeryWard which I found out is a Sea King model #CED-0568 Serial #28x-298044, single spark plug possibly a 5hp? I am not sure what HP, Because some kid painted over the cover. Ya Me when I was 12 years old. Why oh Why. It belonged to my Grandfather and would like to get it running, I consider myself a HandyMan and can work on just about anything. The problem is I cannot find this motor online or can I find a site that shows my motor. My question is can someone direct me a site that can help me. and by the way, love your forum site.

The CED- models were made by Eska but your missing some more numbers. The 0568 isnt enough. You have a pic? They made a Seaking in 69 and in the early 80's. they made a 3.5,5,7,7.5.

Wow this site is great I've already got a response, I love this site. Thanks for the information. I re-read the model# it reads CED-505068, The last digit could be a B. I do not know what HP it is either, it does have a single coil with a single spark plug wire. It does have a Tecumseh carb, the tag reads 643-324 2074. You're saying it's an Eska made by Sea King right? Where might I find an armature plate with a coil and wire, also a carburetor, I also need lower unit items also gasket set, or do I make them? Hey, thanks for all your info I really do appreciate it.

How do I find out what HP it is so that I can buy a Tecumseh carburetor?

They have rebuild kits for your carb. If you venture out and buy one from Tecumseh you might have to modify it. I tried that ONCE.

90% of the time, you dont need anyhing but 4 tools, a can of carb cleaner and a work surface.
