Old Reddy Heater need motor

Have a very old Reddy Heater M100D. Been working great for all these years (about 25) until today. The motor would just hum, so I flipped the fan by hand and it started and heated up my area.

Later took the motor apart and found the front bearing was dragging. The short of it, the front bearing is cracked and appears the motor is not made anymore. Motor M30718-01 or M50450-01 no longer available and no replacement.

Specs for motor 1/6 HP, 3400 rpm, 120VAC and uses a relay for start then switch to run

Wondering if I could use a newer model motor 102001-30 or 33, uses start capacitor

The motor specs out about the same only issue is if my pump and filter box would fit

Motor casing is 5 by 3 1/4 inch

AllDodge, is there any way to remove the cracked front entire bearing assembly and replace it with another? Just asking. If not, replace the entire motor and make it fit and work. That is what we have to do some times. If the newer motor uses a starting capacitor, just make sure it isn't in the direct heat flow or the life expectancy will be reduced. JMHO!

I could remove the end cap (welded on) but there isn't much to work with. I'm looking for another motor just unable to find one which gives dimensions. The motor needs to be real close to the diameter because of the bracket it sits on. Wouldn't take much to have the fan blades come in contact with the housing.

There is plenty of air flowing by when running and have not notice any heat issues in that area

Could by a motor design for the newer ones but if it's to big I'm out 150. Could just go buy a new one for 300 and be done just looking to fix what I have if possible

I'd try to find a replacement bearing.
Do you have a decent size Industrial supply place nearby? Type that sells bearings, gears, belts etc.
They may be able to do a X-match.

Thanks for looking Scott but I don't see one for my M100D or the motor M30718-01 or M50450-01. Am I over looking something?

my google search brought up the two sites. Granger sells generic motors. I would give the two sites a shout, or pick up a motor from grainger. the relay you mention is a starting contactor. if that contator ever sticks, the motor will melt down as the starting coils melt
