I just purchased an old Bellboy 14' boat that came with an old 2hp Johnson model #JW-19M serial #C427473 and an old Seaking 35 hp model #GG 8837A serial #06X795252.
I really would like to know what year both motors are and what's wrong with my 35 hp Seaking.
When I got the boat the 35 was only running on one cylinder. Fortuately it came with a old Evinrude for parts. I replaced the coil, points and condenser and the wire for the bad cylinder and got good spark. When I took it for a test run it would get up to wide open then stall.... no mater where the jets were set.
Any ideas? Would greatly appreciate every response.
Oh yeah I have no idea what year my Bellboy is and could send pics to an e-mail if needed.

2hp is a 1964. Sea King is a 1960. Most probably the fuel pump diaphragm is petrified from old age. They are not repairable according to the factory. But they are if you know how. Use a 18-7820 kit (here at iboats) and just use the diaphragm and diaphragm support out of it. You have to move the two lower holes up about 1/2 a hole width. Do not separate the fuel pump sections where the gasket is or you will be making a new gasket. After you get the pump assembled, then trim off the excess diaphragm material with a razor blade.

JW-19 is a 3HP, not 2.

Fleet Admiral,
Thank you for the info. Mabye I could pick your brains a little bit more....how do u order this part from iboats and is ancient mariner right about my 2 hp being a 3? Not too worried about that motor as it runs like a top. Any advise on finding the year of my Bellboy?
