As a 25 year boater and owner of an older Sea Ray I was thrilled to see someone restoring one of the old sea rays. The guys over at sealink aquatic has started this project on a 1983 270 Sundancer. I for one have always loved the look of the late 70s and 80s sea rays. I think is great to see someone trying to bring one of these back. I have seen a lot of them just get thrown to the side or ending up stripped down to junk. Can?t wait to see how it all turns out. I even threw in a few bucks to help. I was thinking about something like that to my old 220 but the deck is getting soft. Anyone ever replace a deck on their own?

Me too! I'm currently working on a stringer and deck replacement on my '83 SRV-210.

Check out the thread "unintentional stringer job" to see my mess.
