Old Sears 7HP Clutch Shift HELP!!!!!!!!

I recentley purchased my first boat for $50 bucks!!!!!!!!

Its a 12' Aluminum boat and a-

Sears 7HP clutch shift
Chassis #217-58870
Serial #201235

Can anyone tell me more about this engine like what year it is and if it is a Eska. I know its old because the guy said he bought it when he was 11 and he looked to be in his mid to late 30s. I found alot of old Eska/Sears manuals on ebay but i cant tell if mine is one of them.

I entered the chassis # on the sears website and their is alot of parts for it but it doesnt say what year the motor is or any aditional info.

It says on top to use 1/3 of a Pint of SAE 30 or 40 outboard oil with 1 Gallon of leaded fuel only. Do not use unleaded.

From what i read on other threads the newer unleaded fuel should be just fine. But what oil should i use. the guy at my local marine shop sold me Evinrude Johnson XD30 which is a TC-W3 oil.

So should I just mix 1/3 Pint of this stuff with 1 Gallon of modern Unleaded and call it good?

I have read on here about synthetic oil. Is that just regular synthetic engine oil you can get at any Auto store or is it this XD30 stuff i already bought?

It is a 1972, made by Eska. If you do use synthetic, use the stuff made for outboards. It should be TC-W3 also. Car oil has way too much of the wrong stuff in it. Personally, I don't think TC-W3 oil is adequate for those motors because they run way hotter than water cooled motors. I'd use chainsaw oil if it were mine. Just my 2c.

FR is not wrong but::All 6 of my after market service manuals 55-89 suggest
quality outboard oil for all aircooled outboards.Label on my citgo TCW3 rated
2 cycle outboard oil says"recommended for 2 cycle engines including outboards,snownobiles,motorcycles,chainsaws,,string trimmers and lawnmowers"I think this should make oil selection easier.
