Merging old equipment
I have two boat motors the first is a Evenrude 40 hp model #40673B serial Eo1979.
The second is a Johnson 90 hp mod #V4M-105 serial 2417646.
The Johnson is currently on the boat but it does not run, The controls are all there shifter and cables.
The evenrude when I bought it was running but I did not get controls or wiring from the power box or it was broken can,t rember.
Question is will the control box from the johnson work for the Evenrude?
The Johnson has the same connectors as the evenrude but it also has two extra wires that the Evenrude does not have.
