older 270 OD to a 2007 3.0 Volvo?

I'm buying a boat that has a 2007 3.0 in it but the guy stripped the SX outdrive and electronics out and is selling me the rest.Can I connect an old 70's volvo 270 to it?I found a complete unit/bellhousing/tilt and want to know if it will fit?Thanks Dale
