Older design Hustler props on 1983 Force OB

I have done a search here on Hustler props on Force outboards. I have read where 1985 and later models with 15 spline setups were able to adapt to use this prop. Can I find out what hub was used and also, if I will be able to use the interchangeable system on a 1983 Force (Chrysler) 85 hp outboard with 15 spline mounting?

Use the prop finder above, and see if it lists the same hub for both 83 and 85..

For Hustler props, it does not go back that far.<br /><br />1983 Force 85 hp outboard 856X3L

Hustler was making a hub and props for the hub 3-4 years ago. I believe that is the one that a few guys used on their older Force's. But it took some special thrust washers or something.<br /><br />Last year Hustler changed the hubs, and changed all the props.<br />Old will not work with new, or vice versa. I can no longer get props for my Hustler hub that I bought just 2 years ago.<br />They totally abandoned their customer base.<br /><br />That is reason enough for me to never give them another $. Who knows how long before they change it again?<br /><br />There are plenty of alternative props available for your motor, I would steer clear of Hustler.

I understand, but I have two brand new older design Hustler props with the 1A hub and I was wondering if I could use them.
