I've aquired this motor with the 1961 Orlando Clipper from my grandfather. I would like to sell it and would like to give as much information about it as possible. The model is 60de10bl and the serial number is 816161.
Thanx r.

GP Gale/Buccaneer 1960 60HP. it is not a Johnson. but built by OMC, has some Johnson/Evinrude parts. we had on when i was a kid, was a great motor for it's time.

Except for the hood, most everything on it is either from the V4-50 or V4-75. Just a mixture of the two. Well, they did improve the carb a bit over the early 50 too. It will run within a couple of MPH of the 75, but on less gas.

I guess I got two different replys for my question on the old Gale.Fleet Admiral, how do I tell if it is a v-4 50 or a v4-75? I remember my dad saying something about the cover being deceptive to other boaters who wanted to race my granddad's boat.

you have a V4 60 hp Gale motor, the parts are interchangeable with Johnson/Evinrude 50 hp and 75 hp motors. both of these motors were V4's, your motor is comprised of a combination of these 2 motors.
