Greetings,

I wanted to let the cooks on the forum know about some oilve oil that recently discovered. This is the BEST olive oil I have ever used. This might get poofed but here is the URL where you can learn many interesting facts about olive oil, and see the oil that I am referring to:

www.shorelinedeli.com

I hope the mods don't poof this because I have no affiliation with the importer of the oil, and I don't have any connection whatsoever to Shoreline Food Store, I just know that this is the BEST oil I have found, and wanted to share it with my iBoats friends who enjoy cooking.

Re: Olive Oil

Sounds good, SoulWinner.

I am a bit confused by what seems to be a growing paranoia about deletions.

Here is what is sure to get deleted or edited:

*Personal ridicule, insults or attacks.
*Language or topics not permitted in a family environment.
*SPAM: attempts to profit commercially.
*Solicitations to buy or sell items, particularly if the sale would compete with iboats business.
*Bashing: attacks or ridicule aimed at a particular group or class of people (except lawyers and blondes (LadyFish excepted), of course :) )
*Clear attempts to start a fight (Troll) or to turn a discussion/debate into a fight.

Beyond that, if you keep your conversation polite and your topics suitable for a family gathering there is nothing to worry about.

We moderators have no desire to pick on anyone or to interfere with good fellowship so long as it meets those simple rules. We realize that these rules forbid a lot of normal adult conversation in adult environments. Please consider this a family environment.

Thanks. :)

Re: Olive Oil

JB, thanks for the responce. I was just worried because I know you guys don't stuff hawked on the forum, and I didn't know how this would be received.

Grandx

Well, it is very fresh. Fresh cold pressed oil has a low acidity, and is actually light green in color. It is difficult to find oil this fresh in grocery stores, I have to go specialty shops to find the very best ingrediants such as olive oil, gorganzola, feta etc. The flavor and aroma of this oil unlike any you have ever used. Trust me on this, this is the absolute best olive oil I have ever found. I use olice oil in just about everything I cook. I saute in it, I add it to lean ground beef, on salads, sandwiches, everything. Not only does olive oil have many health benefits compared to oter vegetable oils, because this oil is cold pressed, it stays fresher longer. Using heat in the pressing process begins to break the oil down. As olive oil goes rancid, it starts to turn golden and looses it's green tint. Cold pressed oil is more stable and has a better shelf life. If you try it you will see.

i've found an oil which is better then olive oil in a major way.. whatever good is in olive oil,,, double it for GRAPE SEED OIL...

it taste better ( a lite nutty flavor ) but what really rules is can be heated to 465 deg.f. without breakdown...the same temp as which alumium starts to melt...

an it's less expensive... try it you'll like it...!!! leave that nasty 'ole olive mess ,alone...

Re: Olive Oil

That grapeseed oil is wonderful to stirfry with, but i can never find it in the large containers as i do for the other oils. :( For salad dressings extra virgin olive oil is the way for me. :)
