No matter what the medal count for each country and who wins what.

Congratulations to all the competitors for all your hard work and achievement. You are all winners in my book.
Condolences to the family of the competitor that lost his life.
Congratulations to all the medal winners in each event.
You guys and gals are amazing.
It has been a joy to watch and very exciting.:):D:)
You never know, there may be some competitors or family and friends that find their way here for help and advice.

Re: Olympic Heroes.

Yes, my thoughts exactly. Living in Vancouver I must say that at many times over the past few years the games have been used as an excuse for everybody to try and push their political agenda. The truth is it's about the athletes, their dedication and accomplishments, the competition & celebration. I for one have thoroughly enjoyed the games being in my home city!

Anyways..tomorrow canada is going to kick USA's butt in mens hockey:D

Cheers~! and congrats to all the athletes on their achievement.

Well said Kenny, it's been a great Olympic Games. I would also offer my condolences to Joannie Rochette, who lost her Mom 2 days before her performance. What a bummer that must be.

How well I remember the Olympics of Munich and have been apprehensive of all the Olympic Games since. Vancouver has done an outstanding job.

Joannie Rochette

Loses her 55 yr old mom to a heart attack and skates for bronze 2 days later.

I meant to mention that as well but Mrs Ken called me for supper and I hit the post button !!!!
Very brave young lady.
These games have seemed a much friendlier affair this time amongst everybody.
Could be just me though.

Yes indeed, hats off to all these athletes from all these Countries!!;):D
One of my favourite parts of the medal ceremonies is when all three medal winners join up arm in arm on the top podium to congratulate one another...great stuff, great comraderie.

Likewise... Thoroughly enjoyed watching them... And all competitors deserve a pat on the back... Just getting to the games is a feat few of us achieve...

Looking forward to 2182... Winter games in Australia. :D:D:D:D
