On a 2.3L OMC- does the oil pump shaft teeth that drive the rotation of the distributor push up on the dist. shaft or does it pull down on the shaft? I have a Mallory distributor that binds if I push the shaft in toward the cap. If the shaft is pulled away from the cap and rotated it is smooth. Thank you, Eddy
