OMC 3.0L Cobra Exhaust Question

I am told by my local mechanic that there are two rubber flapper seals in exhaust bellow (or hose?)on this engine to prevent water from backing up exhaust side. The problem I'm having is identifying/locating these things. I don't see any such thing in my factory parts catalog. I do see an exhaust seal assembly at the top of the long exhaust pipe, but nothing like two rubber flapper seals. He says they are attached by pins and can melt off is overheated too much. They end up in the outdrive if they come loose and can be replaced. Anybody help with this?

Thanks!!!!!!!!

Forgot to mention that I have just also replaced the manifold and thermostat. The culprit was the recently rebuilt outdrive.

I was hoping to find the reply because that is also what I need. Lost the manual so I don't know what the name is as I can't find it in anything online. My 3.0 was overheating and I believe the plastic was causing overheating problems as I replaced everything else. Dropped the lower unit enough to remove the plastic, we'll see.
