OMC 3 liter IO won't start

It doesn't seem to be getting any gas in the carburator. I disconected the fuel line and gas is reaching the end of the fuel line at the carburator. I took the filter out of the carburator - it was clear.<br />The motor seems to crank over OK but no gas. Tried starter fluid in hope of "priming" the gas flow.

Time to take the carb apart.... Stuck needle valve, Clogged Jets, ????

Well it could be a stuck float or something in the carb but before I pulled the carb off I would poor in a little gas and go crank. If it starts then you know it is a fuel problem. Check fuel pressure to carb if 4 lb then go ahead and work on carb.<br /><br />If it still will not start then I would check spark and make sure that is good before pulling carb.
