That engine in the picture looks exactly like mine. Let me try uploading pictures.

Another possibility, I suppose, is if the motor mounting "stringer framework" has come unattached from the hull of the boat. That would certainly allow the whole motor and outdrive assy to 'lift' a considerable distance. Just a possibility, not familiar with BW's construction.

Joe ,
I had a searay with an omc package and the whole motor tilted to trim the boat. There was a jack screw in the fron t under the timing cover.Just curious if you have found anything yet?The mounts for the engine mounted to this jack screw and it would actually raise the front of the motor. Is yours set up like that? Good luck Delta Breeze

Still can't figure this out. The motor jumps in the mounts, but I can't see in them to see if something is missing. It feels like there are rubber bushings in there, but they are only about 3/4 inch thick. I heard they're supposed to be about 2 inches. I ran it again yesturday and it sounds great, so I'm wondering if it's supposed to do this.

The mounts are in the middle of the engine, on each side. Thanks for the thought about the jack screw, but I don't see one.

Joe It is not normal for your motor to jump six inches.Either the mounts are broke,or not attached to the stringers, this will happen.
IF the boat has Select Trim you will have hydraulic lines going to the mounts.IF the system has no fluid in it,I suppose the motore can jump like you say.
Either way it needs to be fixed.
DHP

Being new to the board, I'm not up on all the protocol. Is it cool to post additional bidness related to this general subject, but somewhat new, i.e. my OMC isn't lifting like that but I've got similar stringer issues...

-Zach

Zach, I'm not sure what the protocol is, but you would probably get more response to your own specific question in a new post.
