Getting ready for spring and I have bought new manifolds and risers and I'm going to change the intake to aluminum. I only go in fresh water, no salt. I bought a new holley street dominator intake with a power band rating from 0-5500 rpm's which should be good fitted with a holley 600. Question is, this a real low profile intake, would there be any advantage to adding a 1" or 2" spacer under the carb? If so, should I use an aluminum spacer or a phenolic type. The intake is a dual plane, holley # 300-38.
