OMC '76-'86 35hp flywheel interchangeability?

Hello All,<br /><br />I have a couple 35hps, '81, '76, one manual one electric. The '76 has a cracked flywheel. Can I use a flywheel off most OMC 35hps other than 76, or even use one off a 25 or 30? Is there any diference in the flywheels from manual to electric start except for the tooth width? <br /><br />Thanks for the help. I am also looking to buy a flywheel for my 1976 35hp if anyone has one.

Hi Jerseyjeeps<br /><br />I think you can use every of the flywheels you mention. Between 1979 and 1987 the same flywheel is on manual/electric. On 1976 the manual start has no teets, just round.( if fact i have an old one lying, but I´m in Denmark. Try to go to http://www.boaterssupply.com/default.asp?a=set&id=1&name=Evinrude and compare.
