omc 800 to 400

[WHATEVER???]

have a 21F bayliner 3.0L in it i put a cobra drive from a 5.0L on it boat will not plane out was woundering if i put a lower leg from a 3.0L on it would that solve my problem??/

What year is this? Gearing is different for the 800 and 400. You need a 400 gearing 3.0l.

Oh the engine is way under size for the boat. Hope you do 30 in it with the right gearing.
