Well, The reverse gear is clicking and not going into gear most of the time, sometimes it gets in no problem. Lower shift cable was replaced a few seasons ago, for the same reason. Other then that forward is perfect, and rides good. I guess the lower shift cable needs adjustment again?

Very possible. Do you have the OMC factory manual? It steps you through it with pictures...

Was it shifting good for a while? If so, then you probably need a new shift cable, not just an adjustment. Those cables just don't "Go out of adjustment" They wear till they won't move enough, then you have a problem. You might get away with adjusting it for a couple of trips out , but come summer, you will probably be spending perfectly good boating days changing the cable and getting it adjusted. Might as well do it now and get it overwith

Yes, was shifting great for about 3 seasons of hard core fishing. I have recently been shifting a lot to get into the spots/re-adjusting for fishing. Felt like it pretty much wore itself out... started doing it in reverse and getting worse every time out. Yea, going to get a new cable, and readjust everything.
