In the past I have removed lower units on may outboard engines but a seem to be stumped on this stern drive. Can the lower unit of an OMC Corba stern drive be removed without pulling off the entire outdrive? Any helpful hints (or tricks) would be great.

Thanks,
YamaBoy

Yes it is possible somewhat. There is a shift arm that comes up from the lower unit and rides on a roller that moves up and down when shifting from reverese to forward. this arm needs to be roated 90 degrees in either direction... It is easier if you take off the 6 nuts holding the out drive on and pull if off about 2-3 inches. When you out the lower back on make sure the shift arm is in the neutral position and that it is sitting on the roller correctly.
