I have a 1990 omc cobra 5.7 that has both overstroke and interruptor switch. I don't Have any adjustment questions I just need to know how to wire the switches to the ESA if the wires were cut on the switches. I know they have to be wirerd in series but does it matter which wire the
ESA goes to and which wire is jumped. I know one blue goes to the interuptor and one black goes to the overstroke but not sure what side of the switch they go to and then wire the 2 remaining wires together. Maybee it doesn't even matter anyway someone please let me know. Thank you

I have a manual with diagrams but t doesn't really help because both wires on the interruptor switch are blue and both wires on the overstroke are black. I'm seriously thinking it doesn't matter which wires you jump seeing there both the same color but I'm an idiot so I'm probably wrong.

Doesn't matter because the switches are wired in series with each other.

Basically the interrupt switch is a NO switch and the overstroke is a NC switch. The overstroke switch, when activated, opens up and prevent the interrupt switch from activating the ESA.
