Bad day at the lake resulted toasted prop and skeg. 
Dial indicator on the 1989 cobra 400 prop shaft indicates about 0.006 of runout and around 0.004 of bearing play. Its just getting to prime boating season and the cost of prop shaft and seals/gaskets depressing. Not mention the labor involved. Can I continue as long as I keep a close watch for water in the oil? Any advice is welcome.
