Omc cobra sterndrive question.

Hi.
Just wondering if it normal?
I have rebuild it and when running in the garage figured out it's moving.

That's a lot of slop. It's been a while since I was deep into a Cobra, but I'd make sure the rear carrier bearing is set right. If I remember correctly, there's a threaded ring that needs to be set right or you'll get binding or slop in the propshaft.

I check a diagram again and I don't remember 2 retainer rings. Itrs 88 four wins so there should be two of them just behind forward gear.
Anyway I'll take it out again.

Well. I stripped it down and everything looks ok. No retaining rings on this model. Not even place for it.
Is it possible that this behaviour is normal?
